Commonwealth of Learning - Coursera Workforce Recovery Programme

The Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations in partnership with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) invites interested persons to sign up for the FREE online Coursera Workforce Recovery Programme.

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) – Coursera Workforce Recovery Programme was conceptualized to be one of those programmes which seeks to reskill commonwealth citizens by providing access to a range of online courses. This initiative was designed to mitigate the increase in unemployment as a consequence of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

These courses will be offered through the Coursera website, which provides participants with access to over 4000 courses and 400 specializations covering a wide range of topics from over 200 partner institutions drawn from some of the best universities and technical training institutions in the world. Upon successful completion of study, participants are entitled to obtain appropriate certificates. During the period August 31, 2020 to December 31, 2020 the learner can study any number of courses and get certified.

Training in courses such as entrepreneurship, information technology, personal development, foreign languages, capacity building for the third sector, green economy, blue economy and renewable energy, are but a few of the courses that would be beneficial to the unemployed during COVID-19 and beyond.

All interested persons are required to complete and submit a registration form to the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations by August 20, 2020 to undertake a free course.
