WTO and FAO heads meet: No food crisis, but vigilance needed

Belize ”Boosts” School Attendance and Access to Financial Services for the Poor

The deal is simple: vaccinate your children, send them to school; and, if you are pregnant, visit your public health center, regularly starting with the first 12 weeks. In exchange, the BOOST Program will give you a monthly allowance between BZ$44 and BZ$82 (US$22 - US$41) per person, up to a maximum of six per household.

WTO Membership Rises to 157 with the entry of Russia and Vanuatu

Today, Russia becomes the 156th WTO member. Vanuatu will join the WTO on 24 August as its 157th member. “Once again this year, we welcome two new members in the WTO family. It has been a long journey for both countries and they will undoubtedly strengthen the multilateral trading system”, said WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy.
